Newcastle native Jennifer Mullan has been invited to take part in one of Ireland’s biggest sporting events for 2012, the Bavaria City Racing event on the streets of Dublin. Jennifer will be in the unique position in being the only female driver taking part in this spectacular event.

Taking part in her Formula Sheane, Jennifer will support headline drivers Jenson Button with his McLaren Formula 1 Team, former A1GP Champion Adam Carroll and fellow Irish Driver Aron Smith with his British Touring Car Team, Redstone Racing. The event which is largely free to attend, is expected to attract over 100,000 spectators on Sunday June 3rd and will run from the Irish Conference Centre, past Trinity College and down to O’Connell Bridge in the heart of Dublin City Centre.

Speaking on the announcement, Jennifer expressed her delight at being chosen to take part in the event, “I am absolutely thrilled to be taking part in this unique event. Its not everyday you get the opportunity to race on the streets of Dublin and certainly not in the company of a former Formula 1 world champion. Having had a successful debut in my Formula Sheane in Bishopscourt earlier this month, I am delighted to be able to represent Sheane Cars and Formula Sheane at this event.

A further boost to Jennifer’s 2012 season is the latest support from top Dublin Stylist and Fashion Journalist Amanda Kevlin through her website www.amandakevlin.com. This partnership now guarantees Jennifer will take her place on the grid at the next round of the Formula Sheane Championship in Mondello Park on Sunday June 10th.
